Concede
LA can concede an appeal before their response date, this means they do not contest the appeal and the changes that the parent, carer or young person wanted are made to the EHCP.
Decision by tribunal
This is when the appeal is heard by the tribunal and a decision is made following the hearing.
Withdraw
Parent/carer or young person withdraws the appeal with the tribunals consent; this would be done by a SEND8 form.
Consent Order
If the appeal is withdrawn after the response date, then the LA will not be held to the time limits of completing the agreed actions so parents/carer or young person should ask for a consent order from the tribunal rather than withdraw.
