Learning and SEND Team Advisor - Dawn Jones

Hello, my name is Dawn Jones.  I work as an advisor in the Learning and SEND Team.

What do I do?

I work in a team of people who help schools to get the support right for children and young people with special educational needs.

I like

• dogs
• reading
• walks in the sunshine
• and eating Haribo!

I dont like

• cold weather
• rainy days

My experiences

Before I started this job, I was a primary teacher in schools for a very long time!

I lived and worked in Brazil for 6 years and I love travelling to see different places in the world.

I was a special educational needs coordinator (SENDCo) in schools before I stared working for Norfolk County Council

What you should know about me?

• I play the ukulele
• I love going camping but only when it is sunny and warm and not raining!
• I really enjoy working with the Youth Forum and supporting young people to participate and to be heard
