Does anyone else's child experience bullying linked to their SEND (the child is 'different', quirky, doesn't recognise social cues, doesn't quite fit in, etc etc)?

What support has worked for helping their child build resistance? (damage to their self-esteem, self-image, attitude towards themself)

And what has the school been able to do to successfully challenge the bullying (when it is not just one child/group of children, but has escalated over time to a large part of their year group?)

Does anyone else think that a SEND child is more likely to experience bullying by peers? I wonder how wide spread this experience is for SEND children?
